my son hit a pothole in our 1996 VW Jetta GLX (has VR6).
to make a long story short i have to replace the oil pan and oil pump and the shaft (VW calls this shaft a "carrier") that drives the oil pump (off the intermediate shaft). the bentley manual says to replace the 2 o-rings on the carrier and shows them in an exploded diagram. the ETKA parts manual does not show them. Can anyone help me out here? (the two i removed looked more like flat brittle black washers than o-rings. could have been due to age though.)
does anyone have a part number for the "o-rings" ???
