My '98 Golf, which has given me generally no problems at all has started doing something interesting. The radiator fan pops on occasionally for just two or three seconds, then turns off. It's only noticeable sitting at idle but my guess is it's happening other times, it's just not noticeable when in motion. The idle speed drops a little for a few beats, I hear the fan go on for those few seconds and then back off. Any ideas?
