how to... ?

Hello...

I have a 2001 Jetta VR6 that SQUIRTS wiper fluid all over my roof, windsheild, and rear window....

How do you prevent this? I looked at the wiper fluid nozzles...they do NOT have the omni-directional fluid nozzles that Japanese cars use...

So I adjusted the up-down position of the flimsy, lame VW nozzles, and STILL got fluid squirting all over my roof....

any suggestions, tips, advice? I love my car, but this is just plain stupid....

"The washer jets are preset but small height adjustments can be made. Using a screwdriver, turn eccentric on spray jet in direction of arrow to move spray field on windshield upward. The spray jets must not be cleaned opposite to direction of spray, e.g. blown through from front."

I think the reference to eccentirc is a circular part that looks like it has a Phillips head on it. Sorry, I can't post the diagram.

Good luck.

I have an 86 jetta and had a 90 and they both did the same thing. I took a small pin, and had someone else squirt the washer from the inside while I got sprayed and cleaned the ends out with a pin as they were shooting washer fluid. Cleans them right out. and you as well
