I would say more the opposite. The GTI has 100mm but I think the A2s at least before 90 had 90mm. You can upgrade by swapping out the flanges and seals. The harmonic balancer on the passenger side of the 90mm are such a German rig job. They don't use them with the 100mm. I'm thinking of upgrading my 86 Golf to 100mm.

I think they have them. You can always call them.

You can buy used cheaper from a vw owner on VWVortex.com.

Who painted the car and how much was it? :)

I've bought from the Potterman... You are right in most respects, however it seems they are starting to sell rice which is a negative for me. EX: clear tail lights. They are on the left coast and Germanautoparts.com (Adirondack) and Busdepot.com are much closer. The Potterman shipping takes much longer for me.

Copy that, that's what Adirondack is for.

Good luck, TBerk

A neighbor of mine works at a body shop. He did the body work at his house and took it to the paint shop to paint it. Total bill set me back $350.

3 coats of base, 2 clear according to him, but he's a bit of a beer-head and most of the time 3-sheets to the wind.

Car looks good though. Much better than it did.
