is it better to buy one that will just do dtc for $260. or one that that will do live data and o2 sensor test wich goes for about $550. from mac tools what do u guys recomend ? thanks

Nither of them, best is Vagcom from Rosstech,

$199 from them... does not just scan, also allows you to reflash if you need to.
