Whole lot a shaking going on

My 85 A2 Jetta Turbodiesel has just recently started a vibration at idle. Idle speed is about the same 8-900 and reving it somewhat does not smooth it out. Cold start can be on or off. Starts well. Seems to be running great, just seems to be shaking more than it has in the past.

Any ideas?

I vote the right side engine mount (cushion). Take a block of wood and use it on top of a floor jack to lift the engine up a little while it is idling and vibrating. See if the vibration lessens.

Clean the throttle body and carb.

Right Side Engine Mount might be deteriorating. Carefully lift the engine with a floorjack and a block of wood with the engine idling to see if that stops the vibration. Also check the V-Belts to make sure that they are adjusted properly.

Does the '85 Jetta TD have a throttle body and a carb?
