New Southern California Drag Strip To Begin Construction In Banning 11-24-2003 01:12 PM
(Banning, CA) -- Developers say the $5-million Mopar Drag City professional drag racing track could break ground in Banning within three weeks. Once built, it will be the first professional drag racing track built in Southern California in more than 30 years. The "San Bernardino Sun" reports the track will be built on Barbour Street, south of Banning Municipal Airport. The drag strip will be sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association.
