quick disconnect lines/

When a quick disconnect line goes bad. (rust) Do you just buy the line premade. Or do you make one . And is there tools to make a line up. Or is it a dealer item. What was the purpose. To be able to hook lines to plastic without cracking them. Like the trans lines to the radiator . Or something else.

Faster assembly and less stress on the connection were the reasons I was told. The part that usually goes bad is the piece in the intake manifold. You can buy it at most good parts stores for around 5-10 bucks. The line itself is usually OK.
