Re: 78 Trans Am Fuel Return Line

Thanks for the advice.....I'll order the parts sometime this week. It would be hard to turn this back into a "original car", since the engine and tranny have already been replaced. It now has a 455 with a 4 speed auto and was painted a bright yellow. (Maybe when the paint fades, I'll have it painted back to it's original gold) The only thing left is some interior parts. Things like the plastic around the t-top needs to be replaced, etc, etc

Again....thanks

Yuck :(. That car's worth a buck, but not anymore missing the original engine. Was it a 400 or a 403? Check the 5th digit of the vin. If it is a Z, it was a

400.

If it was a 403, no big deal that it doesn't have the original engine, a 403 is worthless anyhow for collectability :). A 403 has the 5th digit of the vin as a K.

It's was a 400...the 5th digit is a "Z". I bought it more for the fun then being a collectors item, and I won't feel guilty when I nail it at the track.

If it was a 400 and a 4 speed, someone ruined a beautiful car :(. I hate that. LOL.

Not only a rare one, but a valuable one! Some people just didn't think ahead.
