clutch issues

I have an ATC heavy clutch that works fine until it sits a little while hot. Then it does not release fully and goes from hard to shift to will not shift and I have to let it sit and cool. Brand new fluid and slave. Any one ever have this happen? Robert

I have the same ACT clutch, I also have the ACT pressure plate in my 92. Never a problem, and I heat things up quite a bit with a turbocharged motor. Though I want to go to a braided steel clutch line, I still use the original stock rubber one and the original slave cylinder as well.

It would be interesting to know the cause of your symptoms. Will you please post them when you find out?

I bled the system one more time. The speed bleeders make it easy but I still used a hose and cup. The problem did not go away. The is sensitive to heat load in the fluid. I like the clutch near the floor. These two statments do not co-exist well. I ended up adjusting the clutch rod tighter. I am used to mechanical clutch mechanisims and musted have set it too loose. Problem gone. The extreame clutch could use an extra mm in bore to release it though from what I have read. Maybe I need to find an over bore piston and make a kit?
