This only happens when driving? Long runs or short runs also? Is there a difference between a full or empty fueltank?

Try driving without the fuelcap to see if the tankventilation is ok.

No grounding problem at the engine?

Luckily this engine is straight forward, give it fuel and air in the right mixture and ist running.

It could be the solenoid, or you are getting air in the pump or fuelfilter. Remove the wire from the solenoid, put on the ignition and touch the solenoid with the wire a couple of times. You should hear it ticking. If so, you can run another wire (disconnect the original one and isolate it) direct from the battery to the solenoid. ( if its 12v !! ) Do a testdrive, if this is ok then the powersupply to the solenoid is faulty. Shut off the engine by removing the wire. If it is not ok it still might be the solenoid or air. At least you know its not the powersupply.

No alarmsystem with faulty startprotection, which cuts off the fuelsupply?

If the engine cutts off, are the dash-warninglites lit, ergo the ignitionpower stays on?

Mine 2.8TDi is skipping a cylinder when hard accelerating, Importer and dealer couldn't find it.

success
