Hunting Idle 2003 350Z

All,

My 350Z is having a problem with the idle hunting. Basically, it idles between 780 and 800 rpms and just goes up and down and up and down. Well, the dealer says that this is normal for a manual transmission

350Z. The problem is it never did it until two weeks ago. And, since getting it back from the dealer it now stumbles between 4000 and 5000 rpms. And, yes, the hunting idle problem is still there. Well, checked the factory maintenance manual and it says 650 rpms is the idle for the 350Z in both the automatic and standard +/- 50 rpms. This does not equate to the 780 to 800 rpms the car is performing at. Analysis of the fault tree shows that it should be the cam position sensor. The dealer says they checked this and there was no problem. Checking the terminals should show 0 ohms to infinity. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
