My clock's led light is out. It no longer shows the time. Does this require major work?

Time for a new clock. Don't price them new at the dealer unless you like sticker shock. Junk yards are your friend for this type of repair. Or you can try

I suppose if you like to play, you could pop the old clock out and look for a bad solder - that's likely all it is (a cracked solder joint).
