97 grand prix ABS light

I was on a road trip over the weekend when my ABS light and my track off light came on and stayed on. I have turned the car off and on and it continues to come back. Any suggestions.?

Look behind the front rotors. (R&L sides) You will see 2 wires coming out to a plug & socket. They should hang on a metal clip. Check to see if either wire is broken or loosing connection. If it is the sensor, it may just be covered in break dust.

Just had identical problem with '97 Grand Prix, with exception that there was also a noticeable "clicking" sound when stepping on the brakes. In my case it was that the ABS Right rear wheel sensor was 'gone' and needed to be replaced. Everything fine since then.

Mine just started doing the same thing, but I suspect it's the front right. How much did it cost you to repair it?
