Changing instrument light bulbs in an 850

Has anyone found a clean simple way of changing instrument light bulbs (there are 4, I think) without seeming to have to take the whole car apart. Thanks, Brad

While it's not the easiest, it's not really that hard.

I tried it this way. You have to bend the dash up severely to get the cluster out, and it's nearly impossible to get it out without scratching it.

Take 10 extra minutes and remove the glovebox, the airbag bolts & connector, and a few more srews, then lift the whole dash cover out.

If you want to drive it for a few days while waiting for parts, get a

2.5 ohm 1/2W resistor and stick it's leads in the explosivebag harness connector to keep the control module from generating a failed detonator fault.

The bend looks severe, but it doesn't hurt the dash panel. If you set a soft rag across where the lens of the instrument cluster hits as you roll it out, then it won't get scratched either. However if you have the time and are comfortable with disconnecting the airbag (many people aren't) then your way is better.
