FS SE UK. 850SE Auto

I have a 1994 (L) 850SE Automatic Estate. It has done 232K miles, had the engine replaced at 175K ( my own fault). The gearbox is a bit lumpy when changing up from 2nd to 3rd. It has a twin Electric towbar and is in the usual green that most Lreg 850 estates seem to be.

Features are:- Leather Cruise control, AirCon (works well, but pump does rattle) Manual Moonroof Electric nearside mirror, manual off side (never did work that out) Electric front windows winter / sports / economy mode

Runs very well, I use it for business, as an engineer, and it drives the whole country, hence the mileage. It looks reasonably smart, but I would never try to claim it as A1.

Time has come to look for a newer car, as I cant afford for it to let me down, and at this age and mileage, I am worried that I might be starting to push my luck.

It has been serviced at a Volvo specialist, rather than a dealer, as anyone who lives in the North Kent/Surrey area will know that unfortunately the dealers are not very good around here, and out to make a fast pound or two from all the Volvos owners who only use it for the school runs, and will gladly pay for someone to top up their "Halogen headlamp fluid" and change the "Lower lesser used sprogget" just in case.

It would suit someone who wants a functional second car to move the dogs and kids in etc, and allow it to retire with a bit of grace.

I would ideally like around £1200 for it as this would include the flash Sony CD autochanger system, but am open to reasonable offers which would not include this.

Hope this will appeal to someone, as I would like it to go to someone who will appreciate her.

Might be a good idea to post this in uk.rec.caravanning - since it is obviously equipped for towing. Someone there may well be looking for a towcar. Which engine does it have?

Good idea, thanks..

Isn't it amazing, I thought, of all the things people forget when doing a car advert, like which country, mileage etc, then forgot one of the most obvious...... its the 2.0L 10 valve version.

Sorry about that

On an L plate? Are you sure? At that age, if it were a 2 litre it would have to be the 20valver, if its a 10valver, then it has to be a 2.5. No other NA engine options were available in 94 AFAIK

Whats the engine code on the white sticker on the cambelt cover?
