1996 Suburban Power Steering Pump

My PS has started whining. Is there any special tools required to replace the power steering pump in a 1996 Suburban? Any special tricks?

You will need a special tool for pulling and installing the pulley. Other then that, it's fairly straight forward.

Hi, Auto Zone will rent you the the Pulley Puller for free. You must place a deposit on the puller (About $40), and the deposit is refunded in full upon return of the tool. Hope this helps. MD
