ihave done every repair except replace the steering box on my 99 suburbaan . The steering is still very loose. Will steering box replacement cur this problem?????

The steering is still very loose. Will steering box replacement cur this problem?????
Loose how? Wander, vague? Also is it a 4x4 or 2x4 and is it stock and lifted with oversized tires on it?
