How do I fill the transfercase in a 95 K2500

I have a 95 K2500, 350, 4x4 (not electric), doesn't want to go into 4 wheel drive too often. I was reading somewhere that the transfercase takes tranny fluid, but where do I fill it. Is there a fill spot in the case itself or does it get its juice from the tranny fill.

Thanks, Shane

there is a big nut on the back of the transfercase towards the top of the case i think it is 1-inch or 1-1/16 size nut u take it off and if trans fluid comes out then it is full if it doesnt drip out add a little. trans and transfercase are separate now when u pull your shifter into 4high does the light come on next to the shifter it kinda sounds like your front end is not engaged and that should be electric what happens is you pull your shifter into 4high and it sends voltage to your frontend and it locks in to find it get under your truck go to your front pumpkin and look up and you should find electric wires leading to the front end i forgot the proper name for that switch. that unit screws into the frontend and that is what locks your front end in they go bad and wont lock your front end in they hafto heat up to ingage takes a long time 10-15 seconds before light comes on there is a updated one that ingages a lot faster hope this helps
