Check the wiring to the coil/distributor - if the distributor and coil arenew it would be those so there isn't much else. Try 'hot-wiring' it if itisn't working by bypassing the key-switch. Had an 84 S-10 and also acamaro that had this problem and solved it with jumper cables to theterminal-block on the firewall just over the distributor.Elliott~Shelia~ Gurule~ wrote:

I am not getting fire...I checked modular(sp) and coil. Replaced rotor
