Surburban

Hi, I was wondering if somebody would happen to know the gear ratio on a

1976 surburban. It is a 14 bolt full floater, the engine is a 454 and its a
2wd. Thanks.

Shawn

Nothing there matters. Just jack up one rear tire, make a chalk mark on the tire, then turn the drive shaft by hand and count the turns necessary to rotate the tire one revolution. thats the gear ratio ie. say 3.73 to one or whatever. be sure and block the truck so it does not roll, and put the transmition in neutral so you can turn the shaft.also place a block or jack stand under the truck so you are not made thin.

oh, just to read a book is wonderful.
