I will assume that you have checked to be sure you do not have them disables with the lock out button on the drivers door.

Then: The very likely cause is broken wires in the rubber accordion that flexes in the drivers door hinge area. This happens to virtually all T44s.

You could check the switches in the doors but I would consider that a waste of your time.
