Expected Longevity of A6 or Allroad

I was thinking of buying a higher mileage A6 Avant or Allroad (pre-2006). What kind of longevity can I assume for them with regular scheduled maintenance and without major repairs? Will they go 150,000 miles? 200,00 miles?

They can easily go that distance but you need to keep up with maintenance and be sure to change the timing belt and related parts on schedule. Check records when considering a specific car.

My 95 A6Q wagon and 98 A6Q wagon both had over 140K miles on them when I traded them. Maybe one of them even had 160K miles on it, I can no longer recall. Neither was completely problem free but neither ever left me stranded, and neither ever had a major, really expensive problem.

I have personal knowledge of one Allroad that was run for just over 200,000 miles by its original owner. It was a diesel automatic and was regularly serviced at loosely 20,000 mile intervals. The engine was sweet as a nut but it was sold because he felt that the transmission was developing what was likely to be an expensive to repair fault.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question... I think I'll go for a higher mileage Allroad instead of a lower mileage non-Audi crossover or small SUV for the same price. Then I'll have two Audis with the sweet 2.7 bi-Turbo!
