'94 518iSE / M43 Clutch

Car has done 100k miles, mostly in clutch pumping commuter traffic but recently the slightest pressure on the clutch pedal was causing slip. So had the unit replaced by an independent. Now the clutch needs pressing almost all the way to the floor before it disengages and it is much more sensisitive in operation. Is this expected behaviour with the new unit? Any comments gladly received! Geoff

Sounds like you need to bleed the fluid in the clutch master cylinder.

John appreciate the response. Will bleed as suggested and see what happens!

thanks Geoff
