Can someone tell me how to reset the service indicator on a BMW Z3?

There is a data port in the engine compartment. It's round and has something like 26 pins inside.
Locate Pins 7 and 19. Prepare a jumper that can go across 7 & 19. Have a helper turn the ignition to ON, but not Start, and short pins 7 & 19.
If you used long wires that could be plugged into the pins on the data port, then you could turn the key ON yourself, then short the wires together and watch the Service Indicator reset itself.
