i recently rebuilt the 4.9l engine in my 92 seville. all clearances were checked and in spec. new oil pump, bearings, etc. the problem is i have only about 5-7 psi oil pressure warm at an idle. anyone have any ideas? is there any tricks to getting more oil pressure out of the stock oil pump? any info. would be appreciated. thanks.

FWIW, shop manual calls for 11 PSI at idle and lists the possible causes for low pressure. You've covered most in your post but a couple others they mention are plugged oil filter, pick-up screen loose or plugged, hole in pick-up tube or damaged O ring, cracked porous or plugged oil galleries, gallery plugs missing or mis-installed.
