LT1 / LS1 in '97 Formula

I've got a '97 Formula with an LT1 in it. When my wife's car get's paid-off, I would love to put an SLP Stroker Engine package in my Formula ( see link

This package includes the '97 model year, but it's based on the LS1 engine and I have the LT1. Did some '97s come with the LS1? If so, what would keep me from replacing my LT1 with an LS1 (with the Stroker package)?

When I asked SLP about this the short reply was that they didn't have a stroker package for the LT1, but that wasn't my question...

I've looked at the LT1 to LT4 conversion option, which is obviously a LOT cheaper. Are there any other big HP options that I should consider?

You'd need to put new motor mounts in to fit the LS1 block into an LT1 car, but then again, if you could afford the ridiculously absurd price of $12 grand for a new motor, I'm sure you could afford the cost of welding new mounts!
