injection system from a 6.2 liter after losing its presser?

Lets see if I remember that far back.

  1. Open the bleeder screw on the filter housing.
  2. Disconnect the large red wire on the top of the pump (fuel shut off solenoid)
  3. Have someone crank engine, when solid fuel (no bubbles) appears at bleeder screw close screw. Watch out, it can spray up to 6 feet or more.
  4. Reattach wire at fuel solenoid.
  5. Crank and start engine.

Stanadyne injector pumps are self bleeding, you do not have to go to each injector and crack the lines. If the engine is still sluggish in starting, use WD-40 sprayed into the intake. Never use starting fluid.

Hope that helps.
