i drove my cavalier about 22 miles with the temp gauge high but i was told it was broken the engine dress up kit ie the plastic over all the wires in the engine melted and there is no more coolant in my engine what do i do to fix this problem and what is the problem?????

You probably lost all your coolant due to a bad head gasket (known problem with the cavaliers and Barrettes). Driving 22 miles without coolant means the engine is toast. Either replace it or replace the car.

Let me know what happens.
