1998 Suburban Seat Belt Warning Light

Mar 15, 2005 0 Replies

I have a 99 GMC Suburban that does not respond to a fastened seat belt. It goes through the normal buzzer and then the fasten seat belt light will go out after about 55 seconds. (per the owners manual for not having seat belt buckled.) I've checked the seat belt switch on the drivers side buckle and this bugs OK with and without the seat belt attached. Ive disconnect the switch at the buckle floor mount and the two wires running into the carpet bug ground on black wire and 1.2 K ohm on the black-tracer wire. I believe there is only one belt buckle because I do not see any wires on the other seat belt buckles.

Any ideas would be most helpful.
