What could be leaking water, other than the head gasket?

The OP doesn't really describe the situation well enough to tell the true story. Is he really losing water? He doesn't say for sure. Is the stick just white from condensation because he only drives three miles in the cold? If his oil really is milky and he has more of it than he put in, that's a problem.
