I have a 95 blazer. During last inspection it was brought to my attention that I have or had a gas leak but it was no longer leaking so I passed inspection. I did notice weeks prior a gas smell. I started paying closs attention to the leaking and found out it only seem to leak once a day..... It leaks for a few minutes the first time I start it up each day. This makes it difficult to find the cause. I dropped the taank and noticed that a breather line was busted so I replaced this but still have the leak. My tank and lines where replaced a few years ago do to rusting out but that is not the problem this time. Any thoughts or suggestions as to why this would only leak daily and what it could be?
Another thing that started a few days ago while on vacation is that the blazer would seem like it wanted to stall and it ran rreally rough until it ran for a good 20 - 30 minutes. Outside temp is 70F - 80F when this is happening. My check engine light came on from this. Code PO1406 I think this is a EGR Pintle Position Circuit. Not sure if that is just a fancy name for a EGR valve. Alot of reading online tells me EGR valves are a known issue with blazers. I also read that they have a 75,000 mile warrenty, can anyone confirm? I have 61,000 on my 95 blazer.
