air cond connections

Jun 01, 2006 1 Replies

Briefly my air conditioner quit working in my truck. Worked well and then one day it wouldn't cool, compressor wouldn't turn. I have checked what relays and fuses I can, believe it to be slightly undercharge from a minor leak maybe. I bought a repair kit of 2 cans of refrigerant and a charging hose, (snap on kind).

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:

There are two connectors on the high pressure (small diameter) line about 6 inches apart, and NO charging connectors on the low pressure line at all. I have followed the suction line from the compressor all the way back to the accumulator and NO LUCK!

Is there a special way to charge this thing? What have I missed? The folks at the auto store have no idea either, I am lost PLEASE HELP!

No Air Conditioning! HELP,

The suction line does not go to the accumulator. If you were following it back from the low side compressor fitting,it would end at the evap chamber (the cooling coils).
