need help with gmc doors

I was wondering if doors from a 79 GMC 1/2 ton truck will work on a 74 GMC



1/2 ton truck. I've been told that they were the same from 73-80, but have also heard that 73-76 and 77-80 were different. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They will work ok the frontclip is what's differnt.

The front clip didn't get different until '81 and STILL the doors are the same until '87 for a pickup and into the '90's for suburbans

Your best shot is the Hollanders Interchange Manual. They will know for sure and your wrecking yard probably subscribes to it.

Thanks for the help guys. I thought the cabs were basically the same up till

87, but wasn't positive. I can now press on with my son's GMC stepside project.
