Im trying my first speaker installation on my Dads 2003 2500HD Silverado reg cab. Were puttin in new speakers...the problem is the factory harness at the speakers doesnt say which wire is negative and which is positive. Does anyone know? The connector is labeled A and B??? Thank you. Dillon

Hi!
If you're using a proper adapter kit and not cutting up the factory wiring, you should have no choice but to have it right at both the radio and speakers.
(Do yourself a favor and don't cut up the wiring if you can help it. If the truck is ever sold, you might want to put the original speakers or radio back into place.)
Beyond that, I seem to remember that one of the speaker wires was striped with a grey printed line. That wire should be the negative side.
