Referencing my post from about a week ago, my occasional hard starting problem graduated to a full-on "won't start at all" problem today. The engine was warmed up, about 15 minutes of run time, when I stopped at the store. When I came out 10 minutes later, the truck wouldn't start. The engine cranked over as usual, but after a few seconds it would fire up and then die immediately. This repeated itself for the 10 minutes I tried to get it going. I hoofed it back home (about a mile), got my other car and returned to the Suburban. I tried to start the Burb and it did start up, but only after 10 seconds of cranking.
I invoked the free towing part of my extended warranty and the Burb is sitting at the dealer.
As an aside, I hooked up my OBD II code reader a few days ago and there were no stored codes, but I left it hooked up and fired up the truck and drove around for about an hour. I scanned the I/M Monitors as I tooled around and noticed that the HO2 (heated O2 Sensor) never reported a "ready" condition. All the others eventually reported "Ready" as the truck warmed up, including the regular O2 Sensor. Shouldn't the HO2 sensor report as "Ready" right away? I thought it was heated so as go into "closed loop" as soon as possible.
Thanks again for any help offered!
