I had my tranny(03 silverado) serviced at 22k, problem was a glazed 2-4 band and now at 41k the problem has returned, also the daylight sensor on top of the dash sunk into the dashboard, and once was fixed but once again it has gone back in. Anyways I was never charged for this things to get fixed, now they're charging me $60 for each problem and I have the extended warranty through GM(major gaurd), is it the dealer and should I look for a new shop, or is this how things run with chevy?
Should I pay for repeated services?

If Mike is correct, you need to convince the dealer that made the initial repairs that they were done correctly as the problems should not have reappeared so quickly. Then the current repairs should either be done free by the dealer or they should bill under the initial warranty. Seems the easy way out is being taken as there is an extended warranty available for additional billing. If needed, contact Chevy/GM for a ruling as to if the initial repairs were done correctly.

Sounds like you do have deductible...This is why you should take care of all your problems at one time so you only pay once..21k is too many miles I believe to run a parts warranty ....On you previous repairs... If you went in for both problems at once and they charged you twice I would call GM...They are to charge you the deductible not for each line on the ticket but for all repairs ...So if you have 50 things wrong with it as long as it is covered and it is all in one visit $60 is all you pay for everything...Unless its not covered then they can opt to charge a service fee just for looking at it.... The tranny issue you may be able to argue... only 21K since it was fixed the first time...Talk to the service manager not your advisor.. Obviously there is a problem with the tranny or the tech...This isn't to common of a problem...As far as the light sensor...You really don't have a leg to stand on kinda hard to prove its a defect and t that a book didn't get lobbed on the dash and knocked it in... Also you can always call Major Guard your self to see if and how much your deductible is...If they say you have a $0 deductible then get out your receipts and call GM... S Cook
I have zero deductable on my extended warranty. As far as the glazing, that tends to suggest overheating of tranny and oil which means you need to look into better cooling. Big tires with stock gearing can also lead to this problem especailly if not cooled properly.

If this truck is lifted with big rubber too and stock gearing GM may well fight about it because it is not as designed. If they fix it with a deductable and it is a lifted truck I would be quiet about it and pay the deductable and be glad they fixed it under warranty. A would add a aux cooler so it does not happen again as this really sounds like a heat problem leading to failure.
Nope, my extended warranty is also $0 deductible, but yet the stupid dealer still insist of the 60 buck charge just to look at it
Thanks for the reply, but how can I get hold of chevy/gm regarding this problem, if you know how, I would appreciate it if I could get some info take care
Thanks for the reply Well said, and oh yea my extended warrantty is also $0 deductible yet this dealer insist of the $60 charge, so anyways is seems like I'll be giving GM a call, but will it be a long process to fix this situation?
