steering radius...

So here's one for the group, I was wondering if there was a way to make my

79 3/4 ton 2wd turn sharper for low speed manuvering (ie U-turns, 3 point turns, parking, etc.)

Any possibilities?

You could cut about two foot out of the center of the truck. ;-)

Dangit! But its already not that long, just a full size regular cab truck.

How come the automakers that be never just designed the front wheels to turn sharper? Why'd they have to go and mess with rear wheel steering and all that?

I mean, heck, on a forklift, the steer wheels turn 90 degrees. Admittedly a different application for sure, but.....

The steer wheels also are dragged most of the time not pushed, and there are no frame rails to contend with. Be happy your driving a Chevy, and not a ford, or for really poor turning radius, 70's era Jeep J-20 Pick Ups. Whitelightning
