My 2005 Silverado was aligned according to specs in the factory (Helm) service manual, and everything seems fine. I found that a TSB exists for amended alignment specs. What changed?

I wouldn't worry about it. They never seem to be right anyway. Most of the newer Chevy trucks I see have low caster and yet never been touched before. Not a tire wearing problem so not a big deal. I haven't heard of this new TSB myself and quite frankly wouldn't matter to much to me. The one thing I am seeing, and just to happens to be the case on my own 03 Silverado are Inner Tie rods going bad. I've had to replace them on 05's also. If you've lowered your truck like I have mine, it's a little harder on the tie rods also. I don't put a lot of miles on my truck, so I just haven't been in a rush to do it yet. Soon though.

=========================================================== Yup. You're probably right. My guess is that the TSB applied to a limited audience - maybe vehicles with
20" wheels? No sweat. The alignment is fine, so I'll leave well enough alone. Cheers. >MotorsForum website is not affiliated with any of the manufacturers or service providers discussed here. All logos and trade names are the property of their respective owners.
