1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport- brake question

I apologize for barging in on your group. I spent all day trying to figure out the following problem and would appreciate any help given. Immediately after changing the brake pads and calipers on my 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport, the brakes locked in place and the dashboard now reads "BRAKE P!" Does anyone know what this message means? Thanks for any help, Matt

sorry, just wanted to tell you all we figured it out- the calipers are bad and BRAKEP! is the parking brake (lit up because while changing the brake fluid the line went dry) Thanks, ~Matt's wife :O)
