(no Canadians receive food stamps though).

Sad news -- any specifics on how GM and Ford are doing, by comparison?

Vast majority? 28 million? Last I checked, the US population was over 300 million -- where'ed everybody go? If the US population has declined by a factor of six (necessary for 28M to be a majority, let alone a vast majority), Chrysler sales down only 20% is terrific!

March total sales were down in both the USA and Canada. The USA has been down every month this year, even USA Toyota was down

10% in March.

Jan/Feb Canada sales were up, because Canadian sales were down late 2007 as Canadians were on strike over the excessive prices that didn't take into account the Canadian $ being equal to the USA$. Consumers aren't stupid and can only take so much overcharging.
