Professional quality wire crimper WTB

Dec 04, 2003 1 Replies

I will be doing some rewiring on my Voyager and Volvo in the next year or so and want to replace the combination wire-striper/crimper tool (pressed flat steel with red plastic handles) with a professional crimper. I did a search and noticed a brand called "Paladin" that is supposed to be "used by professionals".

Anyone have any ideas on what to get? Basically I will be replacing radio wiring and wiring harness stuff. I want to use good "connectors" and ferrules and want to do the job correctly and once - hence the search for a professional crimper. The wire striping tools I already have, but if anyone has suggestions for one of those let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Ken

Paladin is good, but not as good as the termination tooling available from the connector manufacturers.

Typically, you can't use a Molex termination tool to install a Amp connector pin/socket, and vise versa.
