ok i've only done 2k since last year surley it doesn't need a service already? can anyone tell me how i can take the service sign off the dash!

Your vehicle should be serviced every 12 months regardless of the mileage. Items such as belts and seals deteriorate with time, not necessarily just with the amount of use they have had.
If you let us know what vehicle you have, perhaps someone can help with how to extinguish the service light.
