radiator hose cross reference

I have a 69 chevy C10. Six years ago I installed an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. The Performer manifold placed the temp sensor in a different location than stock. I changed the water outlet to the early style that points forward in order to clear the temp sensor on the manifold. I used a Dayco #70715 upper hose. Now here's the issue. I recently needed to replace the upper hose, but it was difficult to find a parts place that had the ability (or skill) to cross reference my Dayco part number. I didn't record the application for the hose back in

97 when I did this. I though I would be home free by recording the number. I finally found a hose at Pep Boys of all places. But I anticipate this will be even more difficult in 2008 or so when I need to change the hose again.

Can someone help me figure out the appropriate application to ask for so that I get a hose equivalent to the Dayco 70715? Here's the criteria - - water outlet facing forward (probably pre 66 SBC) - 28" wide crossflow radiator - inlet on upper driver side - 1 1/2" hose

I like to know what applications are like this so I can look them up and see if they call for my hose. Or if someone perchance has a way to reverse lookup Dayco hoses?

Thanks in advance for any help. Leon

IF you mesure the diameters of the inlet and outlet maybe they can fix you up with a flex hose that will fit.
