Sagging Roof ining S3 Jag

Feeling smug about seeing so many ads for these with a sagging roof lining and lo and behold mine has just started doing it too. Aaaargh!. Is there an easy fix with some sort of adhesive spray or do I have to suffer and take out the rear window. Jonners

Fixing headlining is a job that we sunroof specialists do when we mount an inbuildsunroof. Also known as the Hollandia 700. So see a local sunroof specialist that does fit Hollandia 700's. Prices overhere between 350 en 550 Euro's for a complety new headlining. (The Netherlands)

You have to remove the cloth and the backing and do a complete re-glue job. Most will use new cloth as it's cheap(ish) Don't think there's any other way apart from keeping the inside of the car dry and hot as in the summer.

Jon Tilson made the world a better place for us by saying..

Oh dearie me.. My XJ-S did this.. nightmare innit?

I tried possibly every combination of glues and double sided sticky tapes I could think of. Hot glue guns, araldite, carpet glue, double sided sticky tape (the stuff that's so strong you could probably tow cars with it), Velcro.. I tried the lot..

How did I fix it?

A stapler. It's effective, but unfortunately makes the interior of the car look very "Jump Suit Elvis"..
