The Vitesse with the expensive rear end IS the best handler, but only compared to other Vitesses. Any well sorted Herald should out handle a similarly spec'd Vitesse, though comparing like with like can be difficult, Vitesse owners being more prepared to spend money on performance add-ons, Cheers, Bill.

I can't remember, but I don't remember having to change the crank so I imagine it's probably still there on the transaxle ones. Just unused.
