Nope, not especially. I had the 1983 911 when someone ran a red light and plowed into my '66 Silver Shadow and wrote it off. I used the insurance money to get the only other Porsches sold in the US that year (we didn't get the 911 turbo, 924, or 924 turbo). That year is the last year of the 911 (Porsche called them Carreras after that), first year of the 944, and the 928 was the fastest production car sold in the US in 1983. Also, the '83 944 is simpler mechanically than later years, with less to go wrong like sunroof gears and steering racks. For the 928,
