This is a serious enquiry regarding the screen. I am not mad and the crossplies will be junked before the car hits the road. What I have here is a 65000 mile 1966 car that I would like to keep original as possible. It does have a laminated screen at present but is clouding at the edges.
The problem I have is that modern replacement laminated screens available today are much thinner than the original laminated and toughened screens which were fitted back in 1966.
The replacement rubber seal available from Moss etc. is made for the thickness of screen of 40 years ago.
It does not take 'The Brain of Britain' to figure the rest.
Another, and maybe better option, would be sourcing an early laminated screen.
Anyone got one of those available?
