1996 Dodge Intrepid Analog Speedometer needle stuck

I own a 1996 Dodge Intrepid. My battery died, I got a jump start and was getting the car home. During the ride home, the dashboard cluster was shutting down and turning back on, the speedomoter needle was jumping all over the place.

Battery was replaced, but now the need is stuck behind the pin. Odometer and trip meter still work, along with the gas and temp guage.

The entire cluster is analog. I had read in another thread about a reset sequence for a digital cluster and was wondering if there was a reset sequence for the analog cluster?

If not, can i remove the clear covering over the cluster and manually move the needle? How hard is it to remove the clear cover and how is it done? The cluster is kidney shaped, and I see 2 screws in the top portion of the covering.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
