Intermittent problem with sudden loss of power

I am experiencing an intermittent problem with sudden loss of power andbogging down. with my 95' Ram 1500 (318 )sometimes at sustainedfreeway speeds engine suddenly loses power and runs terribly and willrun only with minimum throttle and with too much throttle will backfireand possibly die after I pull over and wait five to ten minutes enginewill usually run perfectly again this problem can happen after fivemiles or five hundred in hot or cold weather. I do not smell any gasfumesIn fact I first had this problem in Florida and it resolved itself thendrove to California with no problem now problem is back I have replacedEGR and control solenoid (found it melted due to contact with exhaustsystem), cat converter, temp sender, and a few other sending unitschecked for exhaust obstructions. I also noticed that there seems to bea vacuum in the fuel tank when the problem occurs if I loosen fuel capI hear air rushing in past the cap? the cap passed the cal smog testbut I have replaced it with a new Stant replacement still get vacuum orpossibly pressure but it sounds like a vacuum is this normal could avacuum be forming in the tank and causing the fuel pump to be slowed orstopped? Maybe that would explain the intermittent problem at freewayspeeds? And now just replaced Evap purge solenoid but problem remainsthere are no trouble codes being generated. Any ideas would be greatlyappreciated since my girlfriend lives around 300 miles away and thiscould happen a couple times a trip!More: I have now changed out crank sensor, cam sensor, rerouted wiresper tsb, new stock coil, changed out Bosch platinums with stock plugs,changed out gas cap, bought fuel pressure gauge pressure seems fine theproblem with engine bogging down still happens after long drives at65-70 mph I live in California and want to drive to New Orleans to helpvictims my prevous post have not gotten any replies please respond ityou have any ideas.Not sure if related but since I changed out gas cap seems like...

Some servers (like mine) drop messages after a few days. To read the original post I would have to go to google and look it up. If he's too lazy to quote the original message then I'm not going to go out of my way to find it.
